Blueberries are one of the best fruits for providing great taste and an excellent nutrition profile. These protein bars are great for recovery from exercise.


Due to possessing a high antioxidant potency, research suggests that blueberries may even accelerate muscle recovery after intense exercise! They are certainly worth having in your recovery meals following exercise.



– 3 scoops of vanilla whey
– 1 cup oat flour
– 2 Tbsp. honey
– 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
– ½ tsp. cinnamon
– 2 tsp. baking powder
– ¼ tsp. salt
– 4 eggs whites
– ½ cup water
– 100 g mashed blueberries,
– 100 g natural yoghurt
– 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract


1. Pre heat the oven to 180⁰C
2. Blitz 2 Tbsp. oats in a food processor or a blender to make the oat flour
3. Mix all the dry ingredients into a bowl. Add in the wet ingredients and stir until it reaches a smooth batter consistency.
4. Pour the batter into a baking tray. Place the tray in the oven for 30 minutes. Check on the batter regularly after 20 minutes.
5. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. The mix is very moist at first when removed from the oven but will firm when left to cool for 2-3 hours.
