Basil pesto combines fresh basil leaves, olive oil, garlic and pine nuts to provide an array of antioxidants and minerals.
Fresh basil pesto is the perfect accompaniment for chopped vegetables, chicken, homemade burgers or other meats. It provides wonderful flavour and taste to any freshly cooked meal.
– 4 small bunches of fresh basil leaves
– 1 clove of garlic
– 2 Tbsp. pine nuts, lightly toasted
– 2 Tbsp. parmesan cheese, grated
– 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
– Pinch of black and white pepper
1. Add all ingredients to a blender, and blend to a smooth paste.
2. Season with black and white pepper to taste.
