A baked potato is versatile and tasty carbohydrate food that can accompany almost any meal on an exercise day.

 

Baked potatoes are often hugely underrated and so easy to make. A baked potato is a great source of fast digesting carbohydrate which makes it an ideal recovery food, just add beans or meat for an added source of protein.

 

Ingredients

– Baking potatoes, large, number as desired
– Salt
– Pepper

Preparation

1. Pre-heat oven to 200°C.
2. With the potatoes on a baking tray, and bake for 60 to 75 minutes depending on size.
3. Check with a sharp knife that the potato is soft in the middle.
4. Serve with your own choice of fillings.
